HORSEPOWER.NET most current information on meeting dates as of 10/24/2019 at 6:46 am pacific time

CURRENT PRIORITY IS ON NAVAJO COUNTY'S CONSIDERATION OF SPECIAL USE PERMIT SUBMITTED BY SPOWER view document

about 3 miles of the project is in Navajo County at the canyon

PUBLIC HEARINGS for docket L-21080A-19-0171-00182   see map of project area below

GEN-TIE has been approved

September hearings complete on transmission GEN-TIE "tie in" to the high power lines in Navajo County near the Chevelon Canyon for (sPower) CHEVELON BUTTE RE, LLC wind farm proposal of 175 massive turbine project south of Winslow Arizona home of the infamous Route 66

NO DECISION MADE - there was public input see below - there may be another hearing December 4th - you can intervene and ask questions of a witness if you are affected by this tie-in project - you must register to do so 5 days ahead of time

YOU CAN INTERVENE IN A CASE

Anyone that is substantially affected by this project can petition to intervene which gives one more power in cross examination of witnesses - you do not get this when you simply make a public comment - YOU HAVE TO GIVE 5 DAY NOTICE AT MINIMUM - being that the notice at Winslow library was posted only 3 days prior to September meeting - seems many would not have even had chance to do so

PUBLIC COMMENTS

You can make public comment on the Arizona Commissions Corporation website https://eservice.azcc.gov/Utilities/PublicComment this should be the best place online to make a comment as it is a public agency. When you get to this part in filling out the form first enter the docket number and then Chevelon Butte RE, LLC will fill in automatically. You do not have to put your company name in there. I was stuck at that point for a bit. You can search all documents filed in this case here https://edocket.azcc.gov/Search/DocumentSearch public comments do not appear immediately so search again later or the next day if they are not yet posted. You can read my comment here. As of 9/17/2019 at 3pm pt there were two public comments posted an AZCC, mine and another individual.

copy and paste this L-21080A-19-0171-00182 into the box on their website (click on image below or here to go to their site)

I would not submit comments at spower website https://chevelonbuttewind.spower.com/contact-us/ as I would not be sure those comments would be made public and go to the proper commissions. I have written to spower 2x and received less than satisfactory responses to my questions. You can read my public comment that mention that here.

hearings for GEN-TIE in Flagstaff in September are complete

no decision made - see above continuation schedule

There were hearings and times for public comments each day in Flagstaff AZ - September 16 - 19, 2019 for those who could attend in person. There was no online broadcast. This was regarding Chevelon Butte Wind Power Transmission GEN-TIE connection to the high power lines in the Chevelon Canyon private properties area. It would tie in just above Chevelon Retreat and just below Chevelon Acres and Chevelon Canyon Ranch at the high power lines that already exist in the region at a point close to the canyon. The lines would connect to the proposed farm at Chevelon Butte and cross Chevelon Canyon.

As of 9/13/2019 I understand there is NO BROADCAST ONLINE that can be watched. I was told this event is set up by the Attorney General not AZCC when I contacted the AZCC Hearing Division as per Nicole <NCapone@azcc.gov> at 602-542-4250. I found no information on this at their site https://azag.gov - AZ Attorney General office phone is 602-542-5025. I tried multiple times contacting them and the menu options 1 and 0 keep rotating back to the same opening message.

Here is the PUBLIC HEARING MEETING SCHEDULE for AZCC that does not show this event yet it accepts public comment on it.

I have two emails not responded to by the hearing division seeking clarification to the Hearing Division.

I was told by the Hearing Division by phone 602-542-4250 that the AG is supposed to be handling it but that makes no sense why would there be dockets and comment area yet handled by AG. Oh it seems the committee chair is designated by AG.

I have sent another now to communications@azcc.gov
