Copper theft on rise at wind farms

The Bluewater wind turbines in England lost their grounding wires to theft most likely during the night.

Said to be a loss of $1700 but cost $7000 to repair. reference archived page here

Makes me wonder if Chevelon Butte wind farms developer might at some point add lighting at the base of these blight systems.

Maybe it's cheaper to merely make the repairs but this is something to consider.
